26 October 2005 saw the official opening of the 9th China International Food Processing and Packaging Machinery Exhibition (China Foodtech 2005) at China International Exhibition Centre. Present at the ceremony were about 400 guests, including members of Chin6ese People’s Political Consultative Conference, National People’s Congress, Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Agriculture, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, China Confederation of Machinery Industries, CFPMA and delegates from relevant foreign associations: ASSOFOODTECH, PMMI, PPMA, AMEC-ENWASGRAF, JPMA, KPMA, etc. Mr Li Shujun, President of China Food and Packaging Machinery Industry Association, delivered a speech, in which he gave introduction to the organizing of the show and the latest development of this industry in China. Mme Gu Xiulian, Vice Chairman of Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and Mr A Buxiti ABudurexiti,, Vice Chairman of Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference cut the ribbon.
The opening ceremony was followed by a tour of the guests around the four exhibition halls. The guests and exhibitors exchanged ideas about the current situation of food procession and packaging machinery industry. The exhibition lasted three and a half days and ended at 14:00 on 29 October.
China Foodtech 2005 enrolled 425 exhibitors and received 16, 895 visitors.
